Lana Del Rey - Video Games (Joy Orbison Remix)

Today I bring you Joy Orbison's remix for the song Video Games by Lana Del Rey. It was included on the deluxe version of her album Born to Die. The video is not all that different from the original clip, but it's worth watching. Orbison did a great job remixing the song... listen to it below!

The 27 Club: Kurt Cobain

Nirvana was on tour in Rome during March of 1994, when a depressed and heroin addicted Kurt Cobain attempted suicide in his hotel room. He survived and flew back to the U.S. to enter a California rehab center, but escaped the facility after just 48 hours, disappearing into Seattle's drug scene.

A week later, on April 8, an electrician discovered the 27 year old in his family's Washington home. He had been dead for 3 days. Cobain's death certificate stated that his death was a result of a "contact perforating shotgun wound to the head", and concluded his death a suicide.

GRAMMYS 2012

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony is currently taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Kanye West is the leader of the nominees this year, with seven nominations, and Adele is right next to him, with six. 2011: The Year In Music

I was surfing on Last.fm when I came across a particular page on the website, which contains very interesting statistical data about the music business in 2011.

In fact, there were many big musical moments in the past year that seemed to appear out of nowhere, and it's impressive how they shaped what people listened to.

For example, Amy Whinehouse's death led to a BIG spike of listens - Last.fm users listened to her songs seven times more than usual!

I know this post comes a little late, but I wanted to share this with you anyway. Take a look at the statistics:
