Sigur Rós - Ekki Múkk

The first single off the Sigur Rós forthcoming LP Valtari was released yesterday.

Ekki Múkk is a track that reveals the band is somewhat returning to their roots, since it sounds much more calm and floaty than the most songs from their previous record (Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust).

Valtari features an eight-song tracklist and has it release scheduled for May 28.

Watch Arcade Fire perform at University of Texas

In the last week, the canadian band Arcade Fire gave a lecture at the University of Texas about their efforts toward helping the people of Haiti. If you recall, besides Haiti being a very poor country, an earthquake hit the country back in 2010, which according to wikipedia left up to 316,000 people dead and 1.6 million homeless.

Arcade Fire discussed the current socio-economic crisis and appealed the students to join them in their cause (Partners In Health).

After the lecture, the band performed two acoustic versions of Wake Up and Haiti. Watch the songs below!

The Temper Trap unveil new song!

The Temper Trap are back with a brand new single from their second studio album! The track is called Need Your Love and it is the first one to be taken from their self-titled new album, which will be released in the UK on May 21 (June 5 in the USA).

Comparisons with their breakthrough single Sweet Disposition are inevitable, and I bet they are facing a lot of pressure to succeed. Judging by this new track, it seems they are working on a darker and much more synth led record. To understand what I'm talking about, have a listen to Need Your Love below!

New videos by The Horrors and Spiritualized!

The Horrors have released a new music video for the opening track of their latest studio album. Skying has received a lot of positive critiques and it was considered one of the best albums of 2011 by the music press in general. Watch the video down below! I sense a little bit of influence from Gorillaz.

Spiritualized have also presented us a video for Hey Jane, the first single off their upcoming album Sweet Heart, Sweet Light, scheduled for release on April 16. And here it is:
